From the iconic Portfolio done for the first exhibition of posters held in Saint Petersburg in 1897.
Dimensions:
+ Size of the sheet: 34 x 25,5 cm / 13.4 x 10 in.
+ Size of the image: 23 x 15,5 cm / 9 x 6,1 in.
Condition: In overall good condition, with some soft handling creases, some light folds, and some minor stains at the edges. One minor missing part on the bottom left corner. Image very clean otherwise, with bright and vivid colors.
The portfolio consisted of 39 lithographic plates (smaller versions) of the greatest posters printed between 1890 and 1897.
Many of the images in the series are so rare that they can be found today in no other format.
Much like the famous Maitre de L'Affiche series created by Cheret in Paris, the portfolio celebrated the rise of the poster in Europe at the turn of the XIX century.

Dimensions :

État de conservation : En bon état général, avec de légers plis de manipulation, quelques plis légers, et des taches mineures sur les bords. Petite partie manquante dans le coin inférieur gauche. L'image est par ailleurs très propre, avec des couleurs vives et brillantes.
Le portfolio se compose de 39 planches lithographiques (versions plus petites) des plus grandes affiches imprimées entre 1890 et 1897.
De nombreuses images de la série sont si rares qu'elles ne peuvent être trouvées aujourd'hui dans aucun autre format.
À l'instar de la célèbre série Maitre de l'Affiche créée par Cheret à Paris, le portfolio célèbre l'essor de l'affiche en Europe au tournant du XIXe siècle.
