David Hockneys contribution to the collection of "posters" for the Olympic Games in 1972, executed as an original colourlithograph printed at Matthieu Zürich. The edition were 200 signed and 4000 unsigned copies. The ORIGINAL EDITION are under the logo of the Olympics in small letters marked Edition Olympia 1972, Matthieu AG Zürich.
Aside the ORIGINAL EDITION that were sold to artcollectors and art deaelrs there were for public display printed an unknown number of offset reproductions on thinner paper. These are marked Printed in Germany.
